The 2023 Chenin Blanc dazzles the nose with aromas of honeycomb, melon, apricot and floral ginger spices. The mouthfeel is fresh and grainy with effusive flavors of peach, nectarine and lime zest. Bright acidity delivers flashy textures that extend into an impeccably balanced and impossibly long finish. A stunning rendition of Chenin Blanc, California’s enduring alternative white.

In keeping with the Destinata ethos, every effort was made to stay true to the source and nature’s intent. The fruit was hand harvested from Wilson Family Vineyard in Clarksburg on September 18, 2023.

The Clarksburg AVA is situated in the delta region of Northern California, where the Chenin Blanc grape has thrived for decades—making it the epicenter of California Chenin Blanc. After whole cluster pressing, the juice was fermented with native yeasts in neutral French oak to cultivate fully realized textures. The wine was then aged on the fermentation lees in these barrels for eight months prior to blending. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered to capture maximum purity.
